Elise McMahon
Optimistic Decay

August 13, 2021 – September 12, 2021

Entrance is pleased to present Optimistic Decay, an exhibition of recent sculptures by Elise McMahon.

McMahon’s sculptural and design practice stems from her research conducted with a critical eye on 'apocalyptic' global waste streams. Her sculptures are crafted from organic and repurposed recycled waste material which she imbues with newfound vitality. Ranging in form and purpose, they evolve from her material experimentations that work towards healthy production practices and habits. Optimistic Decay features material design developed with Francesca Capone (T-shirt waste) and Tri Vo (glass waste).

Elise McMahon is an artist and industrial designer who currently lives and works in Hudson, NY.
